This year’s Rommelroute in Melick marked a milestone for me and for Red Raven Bazarre. What began as a joyful tradition of treasure hunting at the village-wide flea market turned into something entirely new: for one day only, I transformed my ceramic studio into a real-life open shop.
For years, the Rommelroute has been one of my favorite community events, with over 100 participants across the village opening doors, gardens, and garages. I’ve always loved wandering through, finding vintage gems, and connecting with curious visitors. But this year, I wanted to share more than just my love for browsing secondhand treasures - I wanted to bring my own creative world offline.
Inside the studio, I opened up the full Red Raven universe:

* Handmade pottery pieces, including artist’s seconds at special prices
* My own Hook & Hex crochet accessories, soft, witchy, and colorful
* Ritual tools and spiritual decor from my World of Red Raven webshop
* A curated mix of preloved fashion, vintage finds, and curiosities from Red Raven Bazarre
It was the first time visitors could experience all of this in person - not just online through my web shops or resale platforms like Vinted and Marktplaats.
For me, Red Raven Bazarre is more than a side project. It’s a way to extend my love for handmade, sustainable living, and secondhand treasures into something tangible and accessible. The open studio was a chance to connect face to face, share stories behind my creations, and give new life to objects with history and soul.
While this open studio shop was just for one day, Red Raven Bazarre continues online, where you’ll always find a rotating mix of artist’s seconds, preloved fashion, vintage curiosities, and creative finds.
