Somewhere between snake skin and the rippling surface of a hidden pond, this handmade ceramic serving tray refuses to settle on one interpretation. Its deeply textured center shifts through moss green, turquoise and earthy brown glazes, with darker pools appearing between the raised impressions as the light moves across them. Sculpted handles rise organically from either end, continuing the almost serpentine character of the piece. Generously sized and deliberately unusual, it brings a little wildness to serving, displaying or gathering favorite objects.
